walk on it
when jesus found me
i was drowning
in the waters of despair
he sent his love down
and pulled me up
into his loving care
just to put me back
into the waters
deeper and deeper
step by step
so i would learn
to swim, to dive
his holy spirit
leading me
instructing me
teaching me, reaching me
when i was in danger
or drifting too far
when jesus taught me
i was scared
and thought
that i would fail
but he kept cheering me on
until he lifted off
the veil
when i learned
to swim, to dive
and thought "wow, this is great"
ready to lean back
and relax
cos i thought
i'm through
the lesson is learned
now i'm fianlly there
but suddenly i heard his voice
calling me to the waters again
and when i asked,
"what's left to do"
the answer was:
"now walk on it"
